We are excited to announce the launch of our new NeuroUX mobile app. Our new app is a great tool for researchers who want to conduct remote research and collect cognitive and psychological data in a variety of settings, including clinical trials, and observational studies.

What is NeuroUX?

We developed NeuroUX in response to the growing demand for mobile research tools and computerized cognitive assessments. Mobile devices are becoming increasingly popular and are now used by over 6 billion people worldwide. This presents a unique opportunity for researchers to assess numerous aspects of cognition in a variety of settings.

The app offers a library of more than 15 validated and beautifully designed Mobile Cognitive Tests that are highly engaging for participants. Our cognitive testing platform allows investigators to assess various cognitive domains such as executive function, memory, attention, social cognition, etc. Our tests are culture-neutral, not limited by a participant's level of education, and designed for repeated administration.

The app also provides an Ecological Momentary Assessment platform that enables researchers to gain information about environmental contexts affecting participants' experiences and behaviors.

Why build a new mobile app?

Our existing web-based platform has been used in various NIH-funded investigations and other studies across the globe. Currently, several studies are underway utilizing the NeuroUX mobile cognitive tests and experience sampling platform. Web-based platforms are very flexible and easy to administer. However, web-based platforms have some limitations compared to native apps. Web platforms don’t have access to system resources, such as GPS and camera. You also need an internet connection to use the web platform.

The NeuroUX mobile app has all the features of our web-based platform, plus a few extras:

  • Beautiful design and gamified experience that drives greater compliance, retention, and engagement in research studies
  • Offline mode, so participants can complete the assessments even if they don't have an internet connection
  • Multi-language support
  • A secure, HIPAA-compliant, and GDPR-compliant data storage system
  • More personalized reminders and notifications
  • Access to system resources, such as GPS and camera
  • Investigator dashboard to monitor your participants

We are confident that the new NeuroUX app will be a valuable addition to studies of cognition and mental health. It is easy to use and can be customized to fit the needs of any research study. NeuroUX also offers a wide range of support services, including training and consultation, to enable researchers get the most out of the app. We have also helped numerous research groups at top-tier universities with protocol design and obtaining NIH and VA funding.
